For over thirty-five years Lily of the Desert has been a vertically integrated aloe vera company, focused on the benefits for consumers. Controlling quality every step of the way allows Lily of the Desert to dictate the industry-leading standards of quality and product integrity. The initial step in managing that quality is growing and farming the aloe vera at the company’s plantations in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and along the Tropic of Cancer in Mexico.

All Lily of the Desert products originate from mature, organically grown aloe vera plants which are grown free of chemicals. The strict farming standards are certified, monitored, and audited by Oregon Tilth. Each plant is carefully nourished and developed to produce healthy one to two pound leaves which contain large levels of total solids (active ingredients). This method of organic farming retains nature’s purity and makes certain that all leaves selected for processing are of the utmost quality.

Lily of the Desert brand aloe vera products sold in natural and health food stores are certified by the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) for purity and content, which ensures the products contain 100% pure aloe vera.

Lily of the Desert preservative free aloe vera products are processed in accordance with the USDA Certified National Organic Program.

Lily of the Desert’s state of the art processing plant and laboratories are certified organic by OneCert in accordance with the USDA Certified National Organic Program.

Our Unique Difference

Aloe polysaccharides are the main biological active component of aloe vera. In an independent study, The University of Mississippi showed that Lily of the Desert products had the full molecular weight range and the highest molecular weight of polysaccharides of 4,000,000 — 7,000,000 daltons. In fact Lily of the Desert aloe vera juice had 46% higher concentration than the next leading brand, which was actually a concentrate.

What this means for consumers is that studies have shown the higher molecular weight polysaccharides provide the most benefit for digestive health support, absorption/bioavailability support, immune support, antioxidant support, and toxicity level reduction support; and those particular molecular weight ranges are unique to Lily of the Desert products.

Enhancing with Aloesorb™

Aloesorb™ is a new delivery system rich in naturally occurring aloe polysaccharides that is clinically shown to enhance the bio-availability of vitamins and herbs by infusing additional higher molecular weight aloe polysaccharides into all Lily of the Desert formulas. By enhancing our formulations with Aloesorb™ we have improved the synergistic effect of the low molecular weight and high molecular weight polysaccharides to maximize the benefits for the consumer. Absorbtion/Bioavailability Study

Each of the clinical studies demonstrated that Lily of the Desert products with Aloesorb™ had significant impact on improving absorption/bioavailability of supplements and vitamins. The absorption/bioavailability study showed a twenty fold increase in the absorption of taking vitamin C in the first hour verses when taken with water, and a 600% increase in absorption/bioavailability six hours later.

Immune Study

The Immune Clinical Trial showed a 16% increase of white blood cell counts of those subjects taking Lily of the Desert products verses the placebo.

Antioxidant Support

The ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) study showed a 40% increase in the antioxidant level support.

Detoxification Support

The ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) study showed an 11% reduction of nitrates which is related to toxicity level support.
