Spicy Agua Fresca - Lily of the Desert

Spicy Agua Fresca

Agua Fresca is a light, non-alchoholic beverage that is popular across North and Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. It is typically made from a variety of fruits, seeds, cereals, or flowers that are mixed with sweetened water, resulting in a fantastically refreshing summer drink. There is almost no wrong way to make an agua fresca. In our recipe, we took advantage of the play on spicy (serranos) and sweet (honeydew and cucumer), with just the right amount of citrus. However you choose to make your agua fresca, just be sure to add a serving of Aloe vera to make the most out of your “fresh water.” (In this recipe, we dissolved a packet of Mix n’ Go Original flavor into the juice.)
