You might think that it’s impossible to improve the winning combination of antioxidant-packed blueberries and fresh mint, but we stepped up their game by adding about a teaspoon of dried lavender flowers to the mix. The result is an intoxicating-yet-subtle aromatic treat that smells and tastes as good as it is for your body. As mentioned before, dandelion greens are a fantastic detoxifying ingredient to add to your smoothies. Use them just like you would any other green element (spinach, kale) and pair with sweeter produce to help reduce any bitter flavor that might come through. In this Pineapple Dandelion Greens smoothie, we use a combination of strawberries and pineapple, as well as ultra-hydrating coconut water and 2 ounces of Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice with Aloesorb™.   • 1 cup dandelion greens, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cup pineapple, roughly chopped
  • 3/4 cup coconut water

Strawberry Mint Watermelon and Aloe Smoothie

The warm weather is starting to win the battle over winter, and that is making us think about summertime picnics in the park with some of our favorite seasonal produce. Take this Strawberry Mint Watermelon and Aloe smoothie, for instance. It pairs two juicy, sun-ripened fruits with herbaceous mint and super-hydrating coconut water to create a cool, refreshing ode to summer in a glass. To make the smoothie, blend 2 ounces of Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice, frozen strawberries, coconut water, and fresh watermelon and mint sprigs with ice, as needed. And since the crazy fluctuations in weather we’ve experienced lately have been known to cause unfortunate (or at least annoying) side affects for your health, we decided to add ginseng to the mix to help bolster immune support. Enjoy!

  • 1 cup seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint
  • ½ – ¾ coconut water

Directions: Blend all ingredients together with ice, if needed.

Blend 2 ounces of Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice with frozen strawberries, fresh watermelon and mint. Add ginseng powder for an extra kick!

Red All Over – Vanilla, Strawberry, and Beet Smoothie

Our Red All Over vanilla, strawberry, and beet smoothie combines two of the most beautiful crimson ingredients and Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice to make one delicious super-smoothie. If you haven’t used raw beet juice in a recipe before, don’t be intimidated. There’s so much goodness there to take advantage of, and sweet-tangy strawberries and creamy vanilla Greek yogurt really help to tame their earthiness. If it helps, consider adding a couple twigs of fresh mint into the blender for a little herbaceous pop.

We had fun getting into the spirit of March with this refreshing Green Is The New Black aloe, avocado, and honeydew smoothie. Pro Tip: If you have time beforehand, prep the honeydew by roughly chopping and freezing as bite-sized pieces. When you make the recipe with frozen honeydew you won’t have to add ice, which will water it down.

  • ½ medium avocado

  • 1 cup honeydew, roughly chopped, frozen

  • 1 cup baby spinach

  • 2 twigs fresh mint

  • ½ cup organic (or fresh squeezed) orange juice

  • 2 ounces Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice

Directions: Blend all ingredients together. Garnish with fresh mint.
