Recently, Turmeric has become a bit of a hot commodity. It’s become common to use turmeric in smoothies likely due to its many healthy benefits. – 2 Carrots

– 1 Banana

– 1/4 Tsp Ground Turmeric

Simple Prep Smoothie

  • Add a pinch of turmeric.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice.

Winter weather wreaks havoc on our immune system, as well as our lives.  With germs everywhere and everyone around you getting sick, you have to do what you can to boost your immune system to ward off any potential illness.  We have come up with this tasty juice recipe to help you out this season.  Luckily, you can find what you need in the produce section and the aloe aisle at your local store.

This juice packs a 1-2 punch for your immune system with zesty oranges and lemons, carrots, ginger and Lily of the Desert Aloe vera juice.

Oranges: loaded with vitamin c that encourage your immune system to fight off any viral infections.

Lemons: also packed with vitamin c.   But they are also helpful to cleanse the body of excess toxins that prevent absorption of vital nutrients.

Ginger: helps prevent bacteria growth and acts as an anti-inflammatory for your body.

Carrots: full of beta-carotene that contains helpful antioxidants, which can reduce your body’s stress response.  plus, they contain vitamin a that helps the body reduce excess toxins.

Ingredients:

1 cup of carrots

1/4 cup lemon juice

1 large orange

1 inch piece of ginger

Directions:

Place all ingredients into your juicer and blend until smooth.  If you do not have a juicer, then place all ingredients into a blender ( just make sure to peel orange, ginger and carrots first).  Blend all ingredients together.  Strain any pulp through a strainer or enjoy as is.

This is our Playa Papaya smoothie recipe and it’s loaded with flavors from the more exotic side of the colder months. Papaya fruit takes center stage in this production, and it’s rich, buttery consistency and healthy dose of vitamin C are the perfect addition to a winter-time smoothie. Freshly juiced carrots and an orange help balance out the sweetness, and kiwi and coconut water bring home the tropical vibe. Adding our aloe Vera juice ensures your body is getting the most out of all the healthful vitamins this smoothie has to offer. Warning: you should probably find an indoor hammock somewhere to enjoy this on.

Playa Papaya Smoothie

  • 1 large orange, peeled and quartered
  • 2 kiwi fruits, peeled and quartered
  • ½ papaya, peeled, seeded, and roughly chopped
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • juice of 2-3 carrots
  • 2 ounces Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice

Directions: Blend all ingredients together with ice. Garnish with a kiwi wheel.
