I love discovering new combinations of fruit juices to mix with my aloe vera smoothies in the morning (it’s always nice to shake things up every now and then!) Recently, we asked our customers to tell us what their favorite juices to mix with Lily of the Desert’s aloe vera products are, and to our surprise, an overwhelming amount of people said that LEMONADE was at the top of their list. Well, of course it is! Who doesn’t like cooling down with a freshly juiced and lightly sweetened glass of good ol’ fashioned lemonade?
So, here at Lily, we thought we would take that idea and kick it up a notch by creating an immune-supporting version of this tasty drink. What better way to enhance the wonderful health properties of this fruit — my favorite summer citrus, by the way — than by adding Lily of the Desert’s aloe vera. It is certified-organic and has been amplified with Aloesorb, which has been proven to help increase immune support by up to 16%, so you can feel even better about your summertime treat.

ALOE LEMONADE
2 T Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera
1 C fresh lemon juice
1-2 T raw honey*
1 C ice cubes
Stir ingredients well; serve over ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint, if desired.
*tip: when possible, try using local honey to help relieve any symptoms of pollen-related, seasonal allergies.
