Luckily, we have one last saving respite: Labor Day Weekend. This is a day that was created in 1882 with industrious people like you in mind — a day that honors the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of America. This weekend, people all over the U.S. will be getting outside to barbecue and play in the lovely sunshine before autumn moves in. We’ll be throwing down on grills and beach towels like nobody’s business.
However you plan to honor Labor Day this year, celebrate the end of summer with a recipe that embodies this season — Lily of the Desert’s fresh watermelon lemonade. Aside from freshly squeezed citrus and summertime’s most classic mouthwatering melon, it also uses our aloe vera, which is packed with over 200 beneficial vitamins, enzymes, and amino acids, and is amplified with our all-aloe, health-supporting enhancement, Aloesorb™. (Hey, after all the chili dogs you’re going to eat this weekend, your body’s going to need all the love it can get!)
This recipe will serve 4:
- 3 cups cubed seedless watermelon
- zest of one lemon
- ¾ cup fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup organic honey
- 8 Tbs Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera
- 1 ½ cup cold water
Blend the watermelon until smooth; strain through a fine sieve (this takes a few minutes, but it’s worth it!). Mix all ingredients together and serve over ice.
