St. Valentine’s Sweet Layered Smoothie

While the world turns its attention to hearts, flowers, chocolate, and romance, why not show yourself some self-care love? This month we’re featuring a new Valentine-inspired layered smoothie recipe that’s a decadent treat! Featuring a luxurious blend of berries, bananas, nuts, and our aloe vera, this layered recipe will have you falling in love with its immunity-supporting benefits!

Embrace The Goodness Of These Great Ingredients!

  • Bananas: This potassium-packed favorite is loaded with nutrients that can help lower blood pressure and manage asthma symptoms. Bananas are naturally high in fiber and water, which aids digestion.
  • Blueberries: This popular fruit is low in calories but high in nutrition! Blueberries deliver vitamins C and K, supporting your immune system and metabolism. They also include manganese for energy building and fiber to support regularity.
  •  Almond Milk: A common alternative to dairy milk, almond milk has become a low-calorie favorite. It’s plant-based and easy to digest, minimizing the stomach upsets dairy milk can cause. Fortified versions contain vitamins A, E, D, and calcium.
  • Cashew Nuts:  This versatile low-carb nut is rich in nutrients and protein! They include an impressive list of vitamins, including B, K, A, E, D, calcium, magnesium, and zinc. These properties support immunity and bone health. They add a velvety texture to dairy-free cheeses, sauces, and sour cream, making them popular in recipes!
  • Honey: This perennial favorite contains enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. Studies have shown that raw honey also contains prebiotics, supporting gut health and immunity.
  • Aloe Vera: Rounding out our health-supporting ingredients is Lily’s organic aloe vera. This clinically proven formula helps to increase nutrient absorption, maintain healthy digestion, and promote a high-performing immune system.

Start with the first layer by blending the fruit, milk, nuts, aloe vera, and honey until smooth. Pour into the glass and place in the refrigerator while preparing the second layer.

Add the ingredients for the middle layer and blend until creamy. Add to the glass and return to the refrigerator to chill.

Grab the blender one more time to build layer number three. Combine the ingredients, blend, and add to your glass. Top it all off with a garnish of fresh blueberries and coconut flakes!
