It makes a great replacement for less healthy alternatives like vegetable oils and shortening, which can contain GMOs and Trans fats. Use coconut oil at room temperature for flaky baked products. Melt coconut oil and use it in its liquid state to replace vegetable oil and butter.

“I love this stuff. It's played a big part in my acne clearing up recently and it has made my skin feel so smooth. It really helps with the redness in my face and I've even seen a difference in my acne scarring. By itself it doesn't exactly dry out my skin, but to get that super soft feeling I actually mix it with a light facial moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated without making it feel greasy. My skin hasn't been this clear in years so I must be doing something right by using it.”-Verified Amazon User

“I bought this originally to make my own body scrub, and it works wonderfully for that. However, I also find it makes a very pleasant moisturizer leaving my skin soft and scented (if you like the smell of coconut!) I ALSO use it for cooking so it is a really useful item to have in the house and it is half the price of other sellers.”-Verified Amazon User
